The Sequoia

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Sequoia, located high on the top of a hill in Sharon, Massachusetts, boasts picturesque views of one of the oldest cities in the U.S. and pays homage to the living legends that tower over the oldest forests in North America.

With contemporary designs and a timeless cedar and stone exterior, the Sequoia touts ceilings through-out the floor plan that allow for the glass walls on the main floor to showcase a completely open concept feel as well as the hill top view over the greater Boston area. The contemporary bathrooms and kitchen complement both of the stone fireplaces and the floating staircase to complete the modern yet cozy design of the interior.

Sequoia- named after the tallest and oldest redwood trees from Northern California by drawing inspiration from the hilltop setting ceilings, mahogany deck and the cedar siding.

The Sequoia’s enduring features continue outside the home. After experiencing the 700 feet of natural stone retaining walls lining the heated driveway that leads to the house, you arrive at the custom clear glass doors to access the garage and the home. Above that garage is only a part of the expansive second story mahogany deck with a built-in hot tub and million-dollar views in every direction. It won’t take long after visiting the Sequoia to wonder why you feel a little restrained in your current home and long for the sense of the vast open space that is built into every aspect of this contemporary home.
